The initial versions of the demo app were user-unfriendly, with outdated features and inconsistent setups between iOS and Android. After cataloging and refining features, I created wireframes and detailed spreadsheets for both platforms. Using Figma, I designed streamlined, high-fidelity prototypes for iOS and Android, enhancing functionality and intuitiveness.
To thoroughly test ad networks, placements, or ad units, various configurations must be considered—different ad sizes, backend ad logic, toggling privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA, adjusting cache size, refresh timers, post-caching, and targeting demographics by gender or birth year. The app is now feature-rich, maintaining a consistent format that intuitively accommodates the addition of new features to the UI.
The aim of the project was to encapsulate all advertising testing capabilities literally in the palm of your hand. This empowers stakeholders to efficiently request additions such as new ad networks, placements, and features, while providing developers with a centralized and organized hub for QA testing. This streamlined process enhances overall efficiency, minimizes errors, and enables us to achieve more, faster and more effectively.
