What's with the lightbulb logo?
We live in a visually sensitive age. The majority of what we do visually is who we represent ourselves as and we should aim to make that identity very easy to recognize, unique, and simple. Hence, I came up with the tagline "from idea to identity" with a logo to match the theme. A great idea can lead to a great visual identity that creatively represents you or your company. The idea is point A. The resulting identity is point B. I'm here -- metaphorically and literally -- to draw the line for you.
Design is an inventive, playful, and imaginative activity that I absolutely love. I am extremely appreciative to be able to have a job that I truly enjoy doing every day. I started my career designing printed materials. However, over the past few years I've been working primarily with web and mobile mediums as a UI/UX design manager for the fourth largest social network in the United States. I chose to move into web and mobile design because I love to learn new things and the challenges of applying my skills to up-and-coming technology platforms.
While I've been in a management position at several companies throughout my career, my favorite parts of being a manager are teaching and learning from others. I enjoy the collaborative, creative environment working with a team provides, but I'm more than capable of managing my own responsibilities and working on solo projects. Simply put, I enjoy creating my own designs as well as helping and learning from other imaginative minds.
I prefer working in fast-paced, ever-changing environments; so if you're looking for someone to fill a position doing repetitive and mundane tasks, I'm not your candidate. However, if you’re looking for someone who is creative and understands the business-related challenges of design, I’m your designer.
